Patient Satisfaction with Facial Appearance, Scar Outcome and Quality of Life after Skin Cancer SurgeryPurpose
Surgery is the primary treatment for skin cancer. Patients’ perception of the scar following surgery for facial skin cancer may significantly influence their satisfaction with their care. The purpose of this study is to assess patients’ satisfaction with the appearance of their face and scar after skin cancer surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), as well as their quality of life after the surgery.
Participants are asked to complete a one-time survey online. Researchers will use the results to better advise and counsel patients having skin cancer surgery to improve their care.
Who Can Join
This study will include English-speaking patients (age 21 and older at the time of surgery) who had surgery for skin cancer on the face at MSK between March 2016 and March 2018.
