The Jake Lee Lab
Research
The Lee Lab focuses on understanding how cancer genomes evolve under therapeutic pressure, with an emphasis on the origins, structure, and functional impact of genomic rearrangements. By integrating high throughput sequencing data from patient derived samples and experimental models, the lab develops computational approaches to map DNA double strand breaks, their repair mechanisms, and the resulting clonal trajectories over time. Through these efforts, the Lee Lab aims to translate fundamental insights into cancer genome dynamics into strategies that can better constrain tumor evolution and improve therapeutic outcomes.
