Dr. Adam Widman treats breast cancer at MSK, including HER2-positive, triple-negative (TNBC), and inflammatory breast cancer, using advanced blood tests to guide care.
To me, medicine is the opportunity to connect with people and make a difference in some of the hardest moments of their lives. Cancer has touched my own family, and that experience drew me to oncology.
Hi, I’m Dr. Adam Widman, a breast medical oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I care for people with all types of breast cancer, and I know that your life is forever changed when you find out you’ve been diagnosed with cancer.
In addition to seeing patients, I design blood tests that track cancer levels during treatment to help determine how much treatment is needed and whether it’s working. What I learn from my patients inspires the questions I pursue in research, and the discoveries we make in the lab flow right back into the care I can offer in the clinic.
What matters most to me is that you feel supported. I am in your corner, making sure your questions are answered, and guiding you toward the right care.
Working at MSK makes this possible. Here, I have the freedom to ask big questions in the lab and the resources to pursue the answers.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, skiing, playing basketball and tennis. I want to empower all of my patients to live their lives to the fullest.
