Dr. Atif Khan treats breast cancer, brain tumors, and soft tissue sarcomas at MSK, using precise radiation to minimize side effects and offering clinical trials.

Cancer doesn’t just affect the body – it challenges everything you think and know about your life. When I meet a new patient, I know I’m joining them in one of the hardest chapters they’ll ever face.

Hi, I’m Dr. Atif Khan, a radiation oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, and also MSK Monmouth in New Jersey. I treat breast and brain tumors and lead our breast radiation program.

I also study and lead clinical trials, developing innovative ways to deliver radiation to both eliminate your cancer and minimize your side effects.

Radiation therapy is a powerful weapon against cancer, and it must be used precisely for each patient. The goal is to target your cancer cells while sparing the healthy cells around it. This ensures you feel as strong as possible during and after your treatment.

The good news is that the field is advancing so quickly, there are always new ways to deliver a minimal dose to achieve maximum impact.

At MSK, you’ll have a team that really gets to know you and wants to understand what your life is like beyond cancer. We will help you face this challenge and its uncertainties with confidence.
