Dr. Paul Russo has decades of experience treating kidney (renal cell) cancer at MSK, pioneering kidney-sparing surgical techniques to preserve quality of life.
Hi, I’m Dr. Paul Russo, a urological surgeon at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I care for people with kidney cancer, and as an expert surgeon, I’m also focused on developing and refining surgical techniques that spare the kidneys, so my patients can maintain their health and quality of life. I’ve performed thousands of surgeries and trained hundreds of fellows, and I bring that experience to every patient I see.
I’ve also spent my career integrating research with clinical care. The discoveries made in our academic work directly inform how we treat patients, and the questions that arise from patient care drive the next wave of research. The connection between science and practice is what keeps my work meaningful, and part of what makes MSK such a unique and collaborative place.
After over 30 years at MSK, my commitment to practicing medicine with a personal touch has never changed.
