Hi, I’m Dr. Yannis Valtis. I’m a leukemia specialist and cellular therapist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where I care for patients at our Manhattan and MSK Westchester locations.
I know that a cancer diagnosis is one of the most difficult moments in your life, and my life's work is to guide you and your family through every step of your care, so that you never have to feel alone.
At MSK, we have pioneered the integration of immune therapy into standard of care, that is, harnessing your own immune system to treat blood cancers with greater precision and fewer side effects. And we’re not stopping there.
My research is focused on evolving these breakthroughs even further, with a goal of shortening your time in treatment and getting you back to what matters the most.
When we meet, I will first listen to understand who you are as a person, and then together, we will discuss the biology of your cancer and its vulnerabilities. Then, we will explore the treatment options that make the most sense for you and are the least disruptive to your life.
No question is ever too small to ask. I want you to leave our visits feeling calmer and more confident than when you arrived. And please remember you have an entire team by your side, and we’re here to support you throughout your care.
