Get to Know Me

I am a medical oncologist who has special training in the treatment of leukemia and other blood cancers. I have a special interest and experience in the use of cellular therapy for the treatment of these cancers. Cellular therapy aims to use the patient’s own immune cells to treat the cancer. This can help reduce the amount of chemotherapy a patient receives and prevent related side effects to the body.

I see patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Westchester and the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at MSK.

I strive to get to know every patient and their family and craft a treatment plan that honors their values and wishes. My goal is for patients to leave every visit feeling like their questions were answered and have a deep understanding of their care plan.

My research focuses on clinical trials which aim to test novel treatments for the care of patients with leukemia and other blood cancers. I also have an interest in using large datasets to understand why treatments succeed or fail and how we can improve them.

What I Do at MSK

I’m a leukemia specialist, which is a doctor with special training in diagnosing and treating leukemia (loo-KEE-mee-uh). This cancer starts in tissue that forms blood, such as bone marrow.

A cellular therapy specialist is a doctor with special training in using cell therapies to treat health conditions such as cancer. Therapies can include chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy.
