Natural and Assisted Reproduction After Treatment

Some women may be able to conceive naturally after cancer treatment. If a cancer survivor has difficulty conceiving naturally, a reproductive endocrinologist may be able to offer options including in-vitro fertilization, says Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center fertility specialist Joanne Frankel Kelvin. Once a cancer survivor becomes pregnant, she should be cared for by a maternal fetal medicine specialist – an obstetrician experienced in dealing with high-risk pregnancies.
