During and after treatment, cancer patients and their caregivers often need support and guidance to confront issues involving medical ethics, understand various policies and procedures, receive healthcare information in their native language, and find sanctuaries away from treatment areas. We offer an array of patient services to help ease your concerns and enrich your experience at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.

  • Ethics Consultation Services
    Cancer treatment can lead to difficult questions for patients, family members, and healthcare providers. Our Ethics Committee includes experts in all aspects of patient care who can help you resolve complex ethical issues.
  • Language Assistance Program
    We recognize that our patients and families come from diverse backgrounds and speak a variety of languages. If you are an inpatient or outpatient who needs help communicating with our staff, we can arrange for an interpreter.
  • Patient Recreation & Library
    Our Patient Recreation Pavilion offers adult patients and their visitors a refuge from cancer treatment. We offer arts and crafts activities, various games, scheduled entertainment events, a well-equipped library, and an outdoor terrace for relaxation.
  • Patient Representatives
    Our Patient Representatives are available to serve as your advocate, ensuring that your questions are answered, your concerns are addressed, and your rights as a patient are respected.
