About PFACQ
The Patient and Family Advisory Council for Quality at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is a partnership of current and former patients, family members, and caregivers, along with clinical and administrative staff who work together to integrate the patient experience into all aspects of care at MSK. Council members use their powerful perspectives to make meaningful, patient-centered change that supports MSK’s mission of ending cancer for life.
An annual summary of the impact of PFACQ across MSK. We are honored to share the success of continued PFACQ initiatives and the Council’s involvement in projects across MSK.
PFACQ is hosting the second “Raise Your Voice” Symposium in the fall of 2025. The event brings together clinicians, hospital leaders, patients, and caregivers from cancer centers across the country to strategize around how to most effectively partner with their respective organizations so that they may integrate their perspectives and better advance patient centered care. The 2025 Symposium will be held October 8-10 in New York City.
Each year, PFACQ hosts a panel discussion on a topic related to patient-centered care. The panel consists of physicians and staff from MSK as well as PFACQ patients and caregivers. In 2025, the panel focused on the emotional impact of cancer. Participants shared coping strategies, discussed available resources, and addressed common challenges related to mental health during and after treatment.
