International Patient Appointments

The first step in referring a patient to a Memorial Sloan Kettering doctor is to submit an online appointment request form to our Bobst International Center. Please be sure to provide the most accurate and complete information possible. Doing so will help us to expedite your patient’s care. Please make sure you have your patient’s pathology and radiology test results on hand.

Once you have submitted the form, one of our guest services assistants will reach out to the preferred contact person. This usually happens on the same day or the next business day.

To speak with someone about your patient, you can also call 212-639-4900, Mon–Fri, 7:30 am–5:00 pm, ET.

Comprehensive Second Opinions

Even if you are not able to travel to New York for an appointment, you can still receive a comprehensive opinion from a team of MSK doctors by requesting an MSK Remote Second Opinion.

The MSK Remote Second Opinion helps ensure that you receive the most accurate diagnosis and best care plan possible. This option brings together our experts from pathology, radiology, and oncology. Your comprehensive MSK Remote Second Opinion will include a pathology review; a radiology review; and a second opinion and recommended care plan from an MSK oncologist specialized in your disease.

For some patients, a video consultation may also be an option. For an MSK Remote Second Opinion with Video Consult, we ask that your local doctor participate in the conversation. Our appointment specialists will find a time that works for everyone who needs to participate. After the video consultation, you will receive a comprehensive written report with our recommendations for your care.

Consultations for Stand-Alone Services

We also offer a range of stand-alone services.

You can receive a written consultation from an MSK oncologist specialized in your disease. The consultation will include a second opinion and recommended care plan. This service does not include a review of your pathology or radiology materials. The opinion will be based on the quality and quantity of the information we receive. For a comprehensive consult that includes a review of your pathology and radiology materials, consider an MSK Remote Second Opinion.

The recommendation will be based on the quality and quantity of the information we receive. Examples of integrative approaches we may suggest include massage, acupuncture, mind-body therapies, exercise programs, nutritional counseling, and advice on herbs, botanicals, and supplements.
