Purpose

About the ENACT Study

Your information, combined with our research expertise, could move the needle in our fight against cancer. 

ENACT is a research study collecting information via samples and surveys. Our goal is to build scientific knowledge that can help researchers study cancer risk.

Researchers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center will use biological samples (blood, urine, saliva, etc.) and data (family health history, infection history, lifestyle & behavior data, etc.) from people like you to learn more about cancer risk and develop new ways of preventing or treating cancer. 

 

How does the ENACT Study work?

The ENACT Study is recruiting MSK patients who do not have cancer and are at a higher risk of developing cancer. If you are eligible to join the ENACT Study, your doctor or a member of the study team will contact you.

If you join the ENACT Study, researchers will ask you to do some study tasks.

• You will complete a baseline survey, which may take up to 20 minutes.
• You will be asked to provide a sample, such as blood, urine, or cavity swab, at your next appointment at MSK.
• You may be asked to complete more surveys and provide additional samples.
• You can accept or decline any requests for samples and data. Joining a research study is always entirely your decision.
