Researchers are assessing a combination of medications to see if they work well against upper digestive cancers. The people in this study have esophagus, stomach, or gastro-esophageal junction cancers that spread and keep growing after treatment.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and effectiveness of different combinations of drugs to treat advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma, a type of kidney cancer, in patients who have not received any prior treatment or who have recently developed worsening disease while receiving immunotherapy that targets the PD-1/PD-L1 proteins.
However, SBRT may not be enough for people with intermediate-risk prostate cancer and unfavorable genetic features. These features may make it more likely that the cancer will come back after radiation therapy. These people may benefit from SBRT with hormonal therapy early in their care.

Prostate cancers initially need the male hormone testosterone for growth. Hormone therapies that lower the level of testosterone are among the best treatments for prostate cancers that have metastasized (spread). The benefits of hormone treatments often do not last, however. Over time, many prostate cancers keep growing even with hormonal therapies. These are called castration-resistant prostate cancers (CRPC).
In this study, researchers are assessing the drug asciminib for people who recently learned they have chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). They will take it twice a day. If after two years they do not respond well to asciminib, they may take the drug nilotinib with asciminib.
Prostate removal (prostatectomy), a treatment for prostate cancer, can cause urinary incontinence (the inability to control the flow of urine). People experience urinary incontinence in the days immediately following surgery, which can reduce quality of life. Most people experience urinary incontinence for several weeks to months after surgery, but it can last longer.
The purpose of this study is to see whether the combination of melphalan, BCNU, vitamin B12b, and vitamin C, followed by autologous (self) bone marrow stem cell infusion, is safe and effective for treating patients with advanced pancreatic cancer who have a BRCA1 and/or BRCA2 gene mutation.
