I’m a radiologist who uses different types of medical images of the body to find and treat cancer. I’m experienced in body imaging, which includes:

  • X-rays (radiography)
  • Ultrasound
  • Computed Tomography (CT) scans
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans
  • Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans

I focus on the diagnosis of cancer, seeing how well treatments are working, and using imaging to guide therapies. I have special training in a few areas within radiology:

  • Diagnostic radiology, which uses images to accurately find and diagnose cancer.
  • Interventional radiology, which uses imaging (like CT or ultrasound) to guide tiny tools inside the body. This allows us to perform treatments or biopsies in a minimally invasive way.
  • Nuclear oncology, which involves using small amounts of radioactive substances to diagnose cancer and deliver treatment.

I see patients at Memorial Hospital, the main hospital at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), and also at the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at MSK.

I have trained and worked in many different countries including Costa Rica, Mexico, and Korea. I have been part of teams that have built and led pioneering programs for treating cancer with image-guided procedures.

At MSK, I work to improve how we identify, treat, and monitor cancer using advanced imaging and minimally invasive procedures. I continue to focus on clinical work, research, and teaching to help advance cancer care.

I'm an interventional (IN-ter-VEN-shun-al) radiologist. This is a doctor with special training in using image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat disease.
