Han-Wei Wu, MD, MPH, MBA
We post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

Get to Know Me
I’m a pediatric blood and cancer doctor and clinician-researcher at MSK Kids. I care for children, teens, and young adults with cancer and blood disorders.
My clinical and research efforts focus on improving how we support this population from the time of diagnosis through survivorship. This includes managing the symptoms caused by cancer and its treatments. I see patients at Memorial Hospital, the main hospital at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK).
Pediatric cancer care allows me to combine my commitment to caring for young people and their families with my passion for science. A cancer diagnosis affects more than a young person’s physical health. It can shape their emotional well-being, relationships, and sense of identity. I partner with you and your family to develop a care plan that addresses your symptoms, supports your well-being, and aligns with your goals.
I believe in treating the whole person, not just the disease. In addition to standard cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation, I connect patients with integrative therapies. These therapies may include acupuncture, massage, music therapy, mind-body practices, and other approaches tailored to your needs. They can help manage symptoms like pain, anxiety, sleep problems, and fatigue.
At MSK’s Bendheim Integrative Medicine Center, we work together to find the right combination of approaches to help you feel your best during and after treatment.
As a clinician-researcher, I design and lead clinical studies focused on improving pain management and symptom control for children, teens, and young adults with cancer. My research uses both medication-based and non-medication approaches to reduce symptom burden and improve quality of life.
I am involved in several clinical trials investigating integrative medicine for young people with cancer. These studies focus on improving pain management and testing integrative approaches, including acupuncture and music therapy, to help manage treatment-related symptoms and improve quality of life. Through this work, I develop new approaches to supportive care that I can bring directly back to the patients I care for every day.
Supportive cancer care now has more options to help patients manage symptoms without relying solely on medication. However, navigating these options can be overwhelming. As your doctor, it is my responsibility to help you understand which approaches are supported by research, which may benefit you most, and how to bring them into your care at the right time.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring New York City, spending time with my loved ones, trying new restaurants, and staying active.
I'm a pediatric hematologist-oncologist, which is a doctor who treats cancers and blood diseases in children, adolescents, and young adults.
