Get to Know Me

I’m a board-certified pathologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). As a pathologist, I have special training in looking at cells and tissues under a microscope to help diagnose diseases.

I have advanced training in two main areas:

  • Cytopathology: Looking at individual cells to find signs of disease.
  • Gynecologic pathology: Diagnosing conditions that affect the female reproductive system.

I completed my medical residency training at the Mayo Clinic. After that, I completed two advanced fellowship programs at MSK, focusing on my specialties.

I am a key part of your cancer care team. I work closely with your surgeons, medical oncologists, and imaging specialists to provide fast and highly accurate diagnoses. Getting these answers quickly is what allows your team to design the best possible treatment plan for you.

I also perform fine-needle aspiration biopsies. This is a procedure where I use a thin needle to safely take a tiny cell sample from the surface of the skin. I then examine this sample under a microscope to check for the presence of cancer.

What I Do at MSK

I'm a pathologist, which is a doctor who uses a microscope to make a diagnosis from cell and tissue samples. I analyze these samples to learn the cause and effects of a health issue.
