About Me

I am a board-certified internist, medical oncologist, and hematologist with a primary focus and expertise in the treatment of patients with head and neck and gastrointestinal malignancies. I actively collaborate with a team of surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists to provide the most comprehensive and state-of-the-art care for our patients.

Shortly after completing my training, I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering, where I have been treating people with head and neck cancer. Caring for people with this diagnosis requires continuous collaboration with my colleagues from surgery, radiation oncology, speech-and-swallow therapy, and nutrition. Supportive care and aggressive symptom management combined with surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation is the main means to ensure best outcomes for our patients. In order to provide high-quality care, I actively participate in weekly multidisciplinary meetings with colleagues in the Head and Neck Oncology group at MSK’s Manhattan location. Every patient is discussed separately with consideration of enrollment in various clinical trials to help individualize treatment plans. Due to my strong interest and background in both basic and clinical research, I routinely discuss and enroll patients in available clinical trials at Basking Ridge and can also help guide patients toward clinical trials available only in Manhattan.

I also take care of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies including esophageal, gastric, pancreatic, biliary, and colorectal cancers. I actively participate in biweekly meetings with my colleagues from the gastrointestinal oncology group in Manhattan and across other regional centers to deliver individualized and high-quality care. Molecular testing of tumors and appropriately directed therapies are available to our patients to ensure best outcomes.

As a member of MSK’s oncology team in Basking Ridge, I strive to deliver comprehensive and sensible care to people from the community by adhering to the common high standards across MSK. Treatment of cancer is not limited to the disease itself and includes many other psychological and social aspects of care, with continuous support of patients and their families along the way. Compassion, empathy, and guidance are essential elements of my practice. My main goal is to provide modernized care by incorporating recent advances in the field of oncology, close to our patients’ homes, in a warm and supportive environment.

Most major health insurers offer plans that include MSK as one of their in-network providers. If MSK is in-network, it means all our doctors are too. Medicaid and New York State Medicare also provide benefits for care at MSK.
