Noura J. Choudhury, MD
Thoracic Oncologist & Early Drug Development Specialist
My Role at MSKWe post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

About Me
- Assistant Attending Physician
I am a board-certified medical oncologist specializing in the treatment of lung cancers and early-phase clinical trials.
As a member of the Thoracic Oncology Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), my clinical practice and research focus on neuroendocrine lung cancers, such as small cell lung cancer and carcinoid tumors.

The goal of my work is to identify novel treatments for patients that target the molecular mechanisms that drive cancer. To do this, I work closely with basic science researchers to bring promising discoveries from the laboratory to patients through clinical trials. I also treat patients with other cancers through MSK’s Early Drug Development Service, where I design and lead early-phase clinical trials for difficult-to-treat cancers.
When caring for patients, I strive to create individualized treatment plans that put their priorities and needs at the forefront of their care. Every day, I and an exceptional multidisciplinary team of surgeons, radiation oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and many others, work tirelessly to deliver cutting-edge medical care to help our patients maintain a high quality of life while receiving cancer treatment.
A thoracic oncologist is a cancer doctor with special training in thoracic (thor-A-sik) cancers. These are cancers that have to do with the chest, including lung, tracheal (windpipe), and thymic (thymus) cancers.
An early drug development specialist tests new drugs to treat cancer. They have special training in research studies, known as clinical trials.
