Get to Know Me

I’m a pediatric hematologist-oncologist on the MSK Kids team. I care for children, adolescents, and young adults with blood cancers and solid tumors. I see patients at Memorial Hospital, the main hospital at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK).

I have a clinical and research interest in pediatric sarcomas, which are rare cancers that form in the bones or soft tissues. I work closely with our team of different experts, which includes oncologists, pediatric and orthopedic surgeons, and radiation oncologists. We work together to care for people who have been newly diagnosed or those with disease that has come back after treatment.

As a researcher in Dr. Marc Ladanyi’s laboratory, I study what drives sarcomas to grow and become resistant to treatment. My research focuses on high-risk rhabdomyosarcoma, a common type of soft tissue sarcoma. I also focus on cancerous peripheral nerve sheath tumors, which form in the protective lining of nerves near the brain and spinal cord.

My goal is to understand these cancers at the molecular level, identify new treatment approaches, and improve treatment results for people with sarcoma.
