Zsofia Stadler Appointed Chief of MSK’s Clinical Genetics Service

Zsofia Stadler
Zsofia Stadler, MD, has been appointed Chief of the Clinical Genetics Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), succeeding Kenneth Offit, MD. Stadler has served as Clinical Director of the Clinical Genetics Service since 2017, helping expand genetics-driven cancer care, clinical operations, and translational research at MSK. Her work has advanced the understanding and clinical application of inherited cancer risk, including research in Lynch syndrome, germline genetic testing, cancer prevention, and precision oncology.

Seungjae Lee Named a Finalist for the 2026 Blavatnik Regional Awards for Young Scientists

Seungjae Lee, PhD, was named a 2026 Blavatnik Regional Awards for Young Scientists finalist in life sciences. Administered by The New York Academy of Sciences, the Blavatnik Regional Awards recognize outstanding postdoctoral researchers across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Lee was recognized for identifying a novel mechanism of RNA regulation mediated by metabolic proteins, with implications for improving therapeutics that work by silencing the RNA of disease-causing genes. 

Abigail Xie Receives 2026 International Birnstiel Award

Abigail Xie
Abigail Xie, BS, PhD, was named a 2026 International Birnstiel Award for Doctoral Studies in Molecular Life Sciences laureate, joining five other emerging scientists selected from 109 nominations worldwide. Xie conducted her doctoral research in the laboratory of Lydia Finley, PhD, at the Sloan Kettering Institute. Her research identified a previously unrecognized function of the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle in metabolite clearance, demonstrating that the breakdown of citrate can be essential for maintaining cellular health in certain contexts. Xie and the other laureates will be celebrated at an awards ceremony in Vienna in November 2026.

Amelia Cataldo Appointed to ANCC Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs

Amelia Cataldo
Amelia Cataldo, DNP, RN, CPNP-AC, CCRN, was appointed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board of Directors to the Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs (COA-PTP). In this national leadership role, Cataldo will provide strategic direction for ANCC’s practice transition accreditation programs, contribute to the development of accreditation criteria and decisions about the awarding of accreditation to residency and fellowship programs, and support the advancement of high-quality transition-to-practice programs.

Robert Daly Receives Merck Investigator Studies Program Award

Robert Daly
Robert Daly, MD, MBA, received a Merck Investigator Studies Program Award supporting UNBOUND-IO, an investigator-initiated clinical trial focused on improving access to immunotherapy. The MSK-Mayo Clinic collaboration will evaluate whether subcutaneous pembrolizumab can be safely and feasibly administered outside the oncology clinic. The 66-patient randomized crossover study will compare at-home patient- or caregiver-administered treatment supported by telehealth with standard in-clinic administration, with a focus on patient preference, safety, efficiency, and care burden.

Suzen Heeley Receives March of Dimes Visionary Leadership Award

Suzen Heeley
Suzen Heeley, Executive Director of Design and Construction at MSK, received the Visionary Leadership Award from March of Dimes as part of its 50th Anniversary Construction & Labor Breakfast in New York City. The annual event brings together leaders across the construction, labor, and infrastructure industries in support of March of Dimes and its mission to improve the health of mothers and babies. Over nearly 50 years, the event has raised more than $20 million in support of the organization’s work.
