Dr. Reed is a distinguished oncologist who has dedicated his career to cancer care for children, adolescents, and young adults. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) today announced that Shelly Anderson, MPM, will join the institution as the inaugural Hospital President on September 25. Anderson joins MSK from Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) in Boston, where she has been a member of the executive leadership team since 2011, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Deb Schrag, MD, MPH, gastrointestinal oncologist and Chair of the Department of Medicine, presented results from a randomized phase III trial of neoadjuvant chemoradiation versus neoadjuvant FOLFOX chemotherapy with selective use of chemoradiation, followed by total surgical excision for the treatment of patients with locally advanced rectal cancer.
