The Leukemia Center was created to harness recent advances in science and medicine that will lead to better, more-personalized treatment options for patients with leukemia. Under the direction of clinician-scientist Scott Armstrong, the Leukemia Center will build on new insights in cancer biology that are transforming the way we understand and treat the disease in all age groups.

Mission and Scope

The mission of the Leukemia Center is to establish a fully integrated research program that coordinates basic scientific discovery, early-phase clinical trials, and drug development. Leukemia Center researchers are focused on studying the biological underpinnings of leukemias that are unrelated to the age of the patient, and on translating these findings into more-effective treatments.
