I am a board-certified radiation oncologist specializing in the treatment of genitourinary cancers (including prostate, bladder, and testicular cancer), as well as breast cancer, central nervous system cancer, and metastatic cancers of the spine, brain, bone, liver, and lungs.

At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, I work closely with my colleagues in medical oncology, surgery, and interventional radiology to ensure that we take a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Together, we create treatment plans that uniquely address each patient’s specific needs and wishes. I use the latest radiation techniques, including intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), and image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) to maximize the accuracy of treatment delivery while minimizing the potential for side effects. As even newer treatment strategies emerge, I remain eager to learn about them and incorporate them as they become available.

I was first drawn to the field of radiation oncology after I saw multiple family members receive radiotherapy as part of their cancer treatment regimens. I was fascinated by the cutting-edge physics technology, the principles of cancer biology, and the team approach that made these treatments possible. The way the physicians seamlessly summarized all of this information in a manner understandable to someone outside of the medical field also caught my attention. I listened closely as they conveyed what we needed to know in a way that was both inspirational and compassionate. From there, as I gained experience shadowing and performing clinical research in radiation oncology, I knew that this was my personal calling.

In my practice, patients often arrive overwhelmed with a new diagnosis of cancer. It is my goal that after our consultation, my patients leave with a greater understanding of their disease, the next steps, and their treatment options. I want my patients to feel that meeting with me took a weight off their shoulders. It is important to me that they know that they have come to the right place, where they can be secure in the level of care that they will receive.

Patients often find that choosing between different treatment options can be highly stressful. I strive to provide them with the information and confidence needed to guide their decision-making towards the approach that best fits with their goals and desires.

I remain actively engaged with our clinical research staff and work to identify any clinical trials that may be relevant to my patients’ conditions. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, and cheering on my beloved Boston sports teams from afar.
