Angel T. Chan, MD, PhD
Cardiologist
My Role at MSKWe post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

About Me
- Assistant Attending Physician
I am a clinical cardiologist and physician-scientist with a board-certification in cardiology and multimodality noninvasive cardiac imaging. My clinical focus is on managing the side effects of cancer therapies on the heart, masses in the heart, including metastasis and clots, and coexisting cardiovascular disease in patients with cancer.

I work closely with a multidisciplinary cancer care team to provide cardiovascular care to patients who are undergoing cancer surgeries, cancer therapies, and radiation therapyas well as provide long-term cardiovascular care for cancer survivors.
My research focuses on studying cardiac metastasis and cardiac side effects from anticancer medications and radiation therapy. To better understand the mechanisms of cardiotoxicity at the genomic level, I use a combination of specialized cardiac imaging tests and translational laboratory research that use a precision medicine platform as well as stem cell derived cells found in the heart and blood vessels.
A cardiologist is a doctor with special training in the cardiovascular system (heart and blood vessels).
