Surgery

I am a breast surgical oncologist with a practice dedicated to the treatment of breast diseases. I perform all types of breast surgery. This includes breast conservation (lumpectomy), mastectomy, and nipple-sparing mastectomy, as well as all types of axillary lymph node procedures. I work closely with my colleagues in breast imaging, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and plastic surgery to deliver the highest quality of care. I see patients at the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center and at MSK Bergen.

I consider it a great privilege to support my patients throughout their treatment journey. When I meet with them, I aim to provide a clear and comprehensive understanding of their diagnosis and then recommend a care plan that offers the best possible outcome. I want to equip patients with the ability to move forward confidently and comfortably, knowing that my team and I are dedicated to providing compassionate and effective care every step of the way.

In addition to caring for patients, I am involved in research to improve breast cancer care and outcomes. I have done studies on various aspects of surgery of the axilla (armpit) in breast cancer. I have also researched understudied groups of people with breast cancer, including the young and the elderly, as well as those with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) and invasive lobular breast cancer. My work has been presented at national meetings. I maintain active membership in local and national societies, including the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, exercising, exploring new cuisines and good eats in New York City, and spending time with my family.

When I meet with patients, I aim to give them a clear and comprehensive understanding of their diagnosis and the recommended care plan.
