Get to Know Me

I’m a pediatric hematologist-oncologist at MSK Kids. I offer survivorship care to children, teens, and young adults who have been treated for cancers and blood disorders. This involves offering long-term follow-up care, support, and health education.

My connection to cancer care is deeply personal. When I was 16 years old, I was treated for cancer using treatments developed right here at Memorial Sloan Ketting Cancer Center (MSK). MSK’s research helped shape my future, which makes caring for young patients here today especially meaningful to me.

As a doctor and a long-term cancer survivor, I know firsthand how cancer affects your life long after treatment ends. My personal journey inspired my passion for survivorship and helping patients navigate life after cancer. As more people live long and healthy lives after cancer, we can make survivorship an integral part of cancer care.

As a doctor and researcher, my work focuses on helping survivors understand their medical history and what their diagnosis and treatments mean for their future health. I give my patients the right information, tools, and support they need as they grow into adults.

Besides seeing patients, I serve as MSK’s Chief Medical Information Officer. In this role, I use technology, data, and artificial intelligence to make cancer care safer and more effective. My goal is to also use the latest technologies to make it easier for patients and caregivers to navigate their care.

Having walked this path myself, I am honored to help young patients and their families look forward to long, healthy futures.
