I am a medical oncologist specializing in the care of patients with thoracic malignancies. I am strongly committed to patient care. Every patient is different, and this requires a personalized approach.

My training has given me a solid foundation, not only in oncology, but also in important areas like molecular pathology and radiology, which allows me to more precisely tailor and deliver treatments to my patients.

Immunotherapy is a critical new breakthrough therapy in oncology, but it does come with certain side effects. In medicine, when a patient develops a toxicity resulting from treatment, we typically discontinue that treatment, but my research has shown that it is feasible to re-treat with immunotherapy following recovery from an immune-related adverse event (the main side effect of immunotherapy). At MSK our patients have access to the latest immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and clinical trials.

I have been practicing oncology since 2011. I am actively involved in clinical trials, specifically expanding lung cancer molecular profiling and further exploring immune-related adverse events.

A thoracic medical oncologist is a cancer doctor who specializes in thoracic (thor-A-sik) cancers. These are cancers that have to do with the chest, including lung, tracheal (windpipe), and thymic (thymus) cancers.
