Get to Know Me

I am a radiation oncologist who has special training in using radiation therapy to treat cancer.

I am an expert in the latest radiation therapy techniques, including external beam radiotherapy, stereotactic radiotherapy, and proton therapy, with a special focus on treating breast cancer. I see patients at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Bergen location in New Jersey.

In addition to my residency training at Northwestern University—consistently ranked among the top cancer centers in the country—I dedicated 3 full years of my career to breast cancer research at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. This work was driven by a personal mission to improve breast cancer care, a cause that is especially meaningful to me because my mother is a breast cancer survivor.

My research has led to more than 35 peer-reviewed original publications featured in some of the most respected and globally top-ranked journals in radiation oncology, medical oncology, and plastic surgery.

The driving philosophy behind this work has been simple and consistent: to reduce the side effects of treatments—particularly from radiation—while maintaining the same strong results in controlling cancer. I have received several awards in recognition of my work, including honors from the American Society for Radiation Oncology.

Some of the key challenges I’ve studied include different approaches to lymph node surgery, comparing radiation techniques such as protons and photons, strategies for managing breast cancer–related lymphedema, integrating breast reconstruction with radiation therapy, using genetic markers to personalize treatment, and achieving the best treatment results for both early and advanced stages of breast cancer.

At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), I continue to contribute to research and innovation through similar projects, always striving to improve outcomes and quality of life for my patients. But just as important to me is the human connection that comes with every visit.

Having experienced cancer from a caregiver’s perspective, I understand that it affects not only the person diagnosed but their entire family. This is why I make it a priority to tailor care based on each patient’s unique needs—and those of their loved ones—with a commitment to being fully present throughout the entire journey.
