About Me

I care for infants, children, and young adults who need monitoring and treatment in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Some of these patients with cancer need close monitoring of their clinical state or therapies that warrant close, minute-to-minute monitoring in an intensive care unit during their stay. Our team in the PICU is staffed with pediatricians, nurse practitioners, and nurses who focus their clinical efforts on the needs of critically ill infants, children, and young adults. Our team works closely with the pediatric surgeons, neurosurgeons, oncologists, and bone marrow transplant specialists; pharmacists; respiratory care specialists; and nutrition specialists at MSK to ensure that our patients get the excellent multidisciplinary care they need and deserve.

My area of research interest is in the impact of varying clinical states on the function of the heart. Whether from infection, medications, cardiac surgery, or structural problems with the heart, I am interested in discovering ways to identify heart failure early in the clinical course, so that treatment can be maximized.
