Get to Know Me

I am a board-certified medical oncologist who specializes in caring for people with sarcomas. These include soft tissue sarcomas as well as bone sarcomas

Currently, my practice is focused on the inpatient setting, where I see patients who have been admitted to the hospital. To schedule an outpatient visit with one of my colleagues, please call 646-497-9067

I work closely with other experts in the field, including pathologists, radiation oncologists, and surgeons, all of whom specialize in sarcoma. This team-based approach ensures that we develop an appropriate treatment plan that respects our patients’ wishes and their individual circumstances.

Cancer is an extremely nerve-wracking diagnosis, especially when the diagnosis is a rare cancer like sarcomas. My approach to patient care centers on the belief that knowledge and understanding can help remove the stigma and fear associated with a sarcoma diagnosis. My team and I work tirelessly and with compassion to help patients and their families understand and cope with this rare disease.

Outside of providing patient care, I spend much of my time as a physician-scientist working in the laboratory. I focus on understanding how tumor plasticity drives cancer progression. The goal of my work is to understand how tumors depend on plasticity to evolve, and how we can take advantage of this dependence to develop new therapies.

What I Do at MSK

I'm a sarcoma medical oncologist, which is a cancer doctor who specializes in sarcoma. This includes bone and soft tissue sarcomas (such as Ewing sarcoma and Liposarcoma) and benign (not cancer) growths that are like sarcoma.

Disclosures

Members of the MSK Community often work with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology, and life sciences companies, and other organizations outside of MSK, to find safe and effective cancer treatments, to improve patient care, and to educate the health care community. These activities outside of MSK further our mission, provide productive collaborations, and promote the practical application of scientific discoveries.

MSK requires doctors, faculty members, and leaders to report (“disclose”) the relationships and financial interests they have with external entities. As a commitment to transparency with our community, we make that information available to the public. Not all disclosed interests and relationships present conflicts of interest. MSK reviews all disclosed interests and relationships to assess whether a conflict of interest exists and whether formal COI management is needed.
