Get to Know Me

I’m a nuclear medicine physician in the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Service within the Department of Radiology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

I’m an expert in molecular imaging and radiopharmaceutical therapy. Molecular imaging uses radioactive tracers to detect cancer and provide information about how tumors behave inside the body. Radiopharmaceutical therapy uses targeted radioactive drugs to deliver treatment directly to cancer cells while minimizing effects on healthy tissues.

I use a variety of advanced imaging technologies, including CT, MRI, SPECT/CT, PET/CT, and PET/MRI, to diagnose cancer, determine the extent of disease, guide personalized treatment decisions, and assess how well treatments are working. By combining information about both the structure and function of tumors, these imaging tools help us provide the most appropriate care for each patient.

I’m an active member of several national and international imaging societies, including the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) and the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR).

My clinical and research work focuses on advancing molecular imaging and theranostics – an approach that combines diagnostic imaging and targeted therapy — to improve cancer detection, treatment selection, and response assessment. My research includes developing and testing new PET tracers for brain tumors. I am also looking at better imaging approaches for head and neck tumors, paragangliomas, and prostate cancer. I have authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and have presented my research at national and international conferences.

What I Do at MSK

I'm a radiologist, which is a doctor with special training in using imaging to diagnose and treat disease. Imaging includes X-rays, sonography, ultrasound (US), computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
