Get to Know Me

I am a physician-scientist with special training in the care of people receiving cell therapy. I work closely with patients and their families to guide them through treatment with compassion, clarity, and the most advanced approaches to managing side effects.

In addition to my clinical work, I lead research focused on developing next-generation cancer therapies. My current work explores how the immune system recognizes cancer cells, with the goal of designing novel immunotherapies that help the body detect and eliminate tumors. By studying the unique “fingerprints” of cancer cells, I aim to identify new targets for customized T cell therapies— treatments that harness a patient’s own immune system to fight cancer with precision and durability.

What I Do at MSK

A cellular therapy specialist is a doctor with special training in using cell therapies to treat health conditions such as cancer. Therapies can include chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy.

Disclosures

Members of the MSK Community often work with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology, and life sciences companies, and other organizations outside of MSK, to find safe and effective cancer treatments, to improve patient care, and to educate the health care community. These activities outside of MSK further our mission, provide productive collaborations, and promote the practical application of scientific discoveries.

MSK requires doctors, faculty members, and leaders to report (“disclose”) the relationships and financial interests they have with external entities. As a commitment to transparency with our community, we make that information available to the public. Not all disclosed interests and relationships present conflicts of interest. MSK reviews all disclosed interests and relationships to assess whether a conflict of interest exists and whether formal COI management is needed.
