Get to Know Me

I’m a board-certified medical oncologist who cares for people with gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. These are a group of cancers affecting the digestive tract and related organs, which include:

I see patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) Monmouth in New Jersey.

At MSK, I work closely with a team of many different experts. This includes surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, nurses, nutrition specialists, and other doctors. Together, we work to provide thoughtful and complete care for each person.

My approach to patient care is based on clear communication. I believe in working with you to make decisions about your care. I try to understand not only the type of cancer you have, but also your goals, symptoms, family settings, and treatment priorities.

I aim to explain the available options in a way that is direct and clear. Besides standard treatments, I consider clinical trials at MSK that may be relevant to your care. My goal is to partner with you and your family so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

I care for people with a broad range of GI cancers and have a special interest in stomach and esophageal cancers. Through my medical training, I developed experience in both clinical and laboratory research. This background helps me bring a scientific perspective to each patient’s care. It helps me consider how molecular testing, tumor biology, and the latest treatment advances may help guide treatment decisions.

I was drawn to gastrointestinal oncology because it combines thoughtful cancer care with rapidly evolving treatment options. My own family has been affected by stomach cancer, which gives special meaning to my clinical work in this area.

I feel privileged to care for patients and families during a difficult time in their lives, and I strive to be thoughtful, clear, and steady during each step of care.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family, visiting museums, and staying active.
