About Me

As a hospitalist at Memorial Hospital, I care for people who are admitted to the hospital with a wide range of conditions, such as infections, cancer-related emergencies, and exacerbations of other medical conditions like heart failure or kidney disease. Hospitalizations can be challenging for patients and their families; I strive to come to a holistic understanding of my patients and their goals for their care, and to develop evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with their outpatient oncologist.

I also work as an ethics consultant, where I work to resolve challenging, values-based dilemmas that arise in the inpatient and outpatient setting. My goal is to understand the different viewpoints of patients, their loved ones, and their clinical team, and to mediate discussions that help those involved come to an ethically sound solution. In my free time, I enjoy biking along the Hudson River, and I work on a podcast called CoreIM: At the Bedside, which explores topics in ethics and medical humanities.
