Miriam M. Lieberman, MD
We post reviews for MSK healthcare providers who have at least 30 patient experience surveys completed. If you do not see reviews for a provider, it may be because they do not yet have enough survey responses, or the provider may not be part of the group of healthcare providers included in the survey.
Only outpatient providers are included in the survey. Healthcare providers who only work in the hospital or in urgent care are not included in the survey. Pathologists or researchers who do not provide direct care to patients do not have reviews.

Get to Know Me
I’m a medical oncologist who cares for people with breast cancer. Working closely with an outstanding team of experts, I aim to provide the highest quality of care to my patients.
I see patients at the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in Manhattan and also at the MSK Westchester location.
A breast cancer diagnosis comes with many unique challenges. With empathy and compassion, I will guide you through these challenges, while providing thoughtful care that focuses on you.
I combine the latest research and scientific advances with a personal approach to treatment. The best care begins with listening to you, understanding what matters most to you, and building trusting relationships that support you throughout this journey.
When I meet with you, I make sure you feel informed and confident about making decisions about your care. I take the time to explain each diagnosis and the full range of treatment options that are available. I work with you to make decisions about your care and consider your goals, values, and preferences.
With my love for learning and science, pursuing medicine as a career was a logical choice for me. With breast cancer being as common as it is, we all know someone affected by this. I have learned that everyone handles such a diagnosis differently. Each person has different emotions, coping mechanisms, fears, and goals, and there is no single way for them to handle such a challenge.
These life experiences showed me that breast cancer care is a specialty where I can both excel and help people. It is a privilege for me to support and guide you through this journey.
My research focuses on the latest therapies in breast cancer. This includes using combinations of antibody drugs to treat HER2 positive and HER2 low breast cancer. I am involved in clinical trials to investigate who will benefit from and how to best sequence these new therapies to get the best treatment results for patients.
My work has been published in many journals and presented at national and international conferences. This includes the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO). Through clinical research, I aim to translate emerging scientific discoveries into more effective, personalized treatment strategies for people who have metastatic breast cancer. I look forward to contributing to newer and better treatments so we can achieve even better results for patients.
In my free time, I enjoy skiing, traveling, baking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
