Get to Know Me
I’m a urologic surgeon who specializes in diagnosing and treating prostate cancer and kidney cancer. I see patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK)’s Westchester and Bergen locations.
As your surgeon, my goal is to guide you through your options. I aim to give you the same high-level, expert care that I would want for my own family.
I became a doctor because I wanted to serve others and be someone people can rely on during stressful times. The most rewarding part of my job is building long-term relationships with my patients and helping them navigate their health with confidence.
When it comes to cancer care, there is rarely a single “right” answer. I believe in giving you clear, honest information so we can make decisions together. Whether we are discussing a new cancer test or choosing a treatment plan, we will look closely at the potential benefits and the risks to find the path that best fits your life and your personal preferences.
Patients come to see me to talk through all sides of their care, including:
- Advanced testing: Using the latest tools like detailed imaging and special biomarkers (blood tests) to find out exactly what is going on.
- Careful monitoring: Safely watching a tumor over time (active surveillance) instead of going through surgery if it isn’t needed.
- Precise surgery: Performing advanced surgeries, including nerve-sparing procedures that protect your organs and help you recover better.
My research focuses on making cancer screening smarter and more personal. I have published a study about how to better understand PSA (prostate-specific antigen) blood test results. My goal is to make sure we use these tests wisely, looking at a patient’s overall health and life expectancy so we only treat cancers that truly need to be treated.
When I’m not at work, I love staying active through sports and fitness, including baseball, basketball, and running. I also enjoy traveling and spending quality time with my family.
I'm a urologic surgeon, which is a doctor with special training in surgery on the genitourinary (jeh-nih-toh-YOOR-ih-nayr-ee) (GU) system. This includes the bladder, kidney, penis, prostate, and testicles.
