I am a former software engineer (in the medical device field) turned infectious disease physician. I received my bachelor’s degree in creative writing from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and my medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College. I completed an internal medicine residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill-Cornell Campus and an infectious disease fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering. I have been on the MSK faculty since 2011.
My primary role is in the attending-only inpatient consult service. My clinical and research interests extend from this work and involve hardware-related infections — particularly infections of implantable central nervous system devices such as Ommaya reservoirs and cerebrospinal fluid shunts. I am also interested in infections related to urinary tract hardware (including stents and percutaneous nephrostomy tubes) and bladder replacements (such as ileal conduits and neobladders).
I am a member of the pharmaceutical and therapeutics committee and am interested in and participate in the education of house staff, infectious disease fellows, non-infectious disease physicians, and allied health professionals on antibiotic selection and use.

Most major health insurers offer plans that include MSK as one of their in-network providers. If MSK is in-network, it means all our doctors are too. Medicaid and New York State Medicare also provide benefits for care at MSK.Learn more
