Sahussapont Joseph Sirintrapun, MD

About Me

I am board-certified in clinical informatics in addition to anatomic and clinical pathology. I serve as Director of Pathology Informatics and participate on the Informatics Committee and the Clinical Information Systems Steering Committee for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I also serve nationally on the Pathology Informatics Committee for the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

My work in informatics integrates the worlds of medicine and technology. Together my IT team and I oversee various information systems and information flow. Through technology, we strive to optimize laboratory operations and pathology practice. Our endeavors encompass image digitization, telepathology, and operational analytics. We develop enhancements to human computer interfaces, decision support, and complex reporting.

Clinically, I practice as a surgical pathologist with expertise in genitourinary tumors. I work with a remarkable team of genitourinary pathologists, surgeons, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists. This dedication in both informatics and clinical care confers an understanding of the cognitive and social impact of technology on clinical practice.

My research centers on informatics and genitourinary tumors and I collaborate with several groups across Memorial Sloan Kettering. Furthermore I engage fellows into becoming outstanding future pathologists, continuing a proud legacy of training at Memorial Sloan Kettering.

Most major health insurers offer plans that include MSK as one of their in-network providers. If MSK is in-network, it means all our doctors are too. Medicaid and New York State Medicare also provide benefits for care at MSK.
