As a physician practicing in critical care, I provide care to the sickest of our cancer patients.
I developed an interest in critical care as a resident training in internal medicine. I found it challenging to provide care to some of the most vulnerable patient populations, such as people with cancer, and learned to appreciate the balance between the science of medicine and the art of healing and providing support to patients and their families. As a fellow training at Memorial Sloan Kettering, I had the privilege of caring for critically ill people. I realized the importance of the risks and benefits of treatments and procedures, which has a big impact on people with cancer.
My training at MSK included specialization in pulmonary medicine. I have a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of pulmonary complications of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, specifically for critically ill patients.
My role as a critical care provider allows me to collaborate with other specialties in the hospital. It also allows me to be available to patients and families who are facing significant hardships. We will do everything we can to get our patients through their critical illness, so they may go on to receive the cancer directed therapy they need.

Doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering work as teams, with specialists from all different areas. This allows us to consider all your needs together, and to give you the best possible care.
Doctors and faculty members often work with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology, and life sciences companies, and other organizations outside of MSK, to find safe and effective cancer treatments, to improve patient care, and to educate the health care community.
MSK requires doctors and faculty members to report (“disclose”) the relationships and financial interests they have with external entities. As a commitment to transparency with our community, we make that information available to the public.
