I am a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of experience. I have been at Memorial Sloan Kettering since 1998 and joined the breast service in December 2016. I split my time between a surgical practice with breast surgeon Laurie Kirstein and the high-risk breast screening program known as RISE — Risk Assessment, Imaging, Surveillance, and Education. This program is dedicated to the care of patients at high risk for developing breast cancer. I support Dr. Kirstein’s practice by initiating the workup for patients with abnormal breast imaging and following surgical patients pre- and postoperatively, including long-term follow-up visits. I practice both independently and in close collaboration with the breast surgeons at MSK Monmouth. Dr. Kirstein and I, along with nurses, provide comprehensive care to our patients throughout their journey at MSK.

Prior to joining the breast team, I worked in cardiac surgery, occupational health, primary care, and the academic setting. I have had a love for teaching throughout my career. My public health degree concentration was in disease prevention and health promotion. Now, I support the high-risk breast population and surgical patients in making decisions regarding screening, risk reduction, optimizing their health, and reducing anxiety.
