After graduating from nursing school in 1991, I started my career in a medical surgical oncology unit in Oakland, California. I knew that I wanted the oncology nurses as my teachers. After a decade at home raising three sons, I returned to nursing at a small community hospital and immediately found myself drawn back to oncology patients.
I worked with a medical oncologist in an office setting for seven years before joining Memorial Sloan Kettering in 2013. At MSK Sleepy Hollow, I worked in chemotherapy and radiation oncology, building on my background, which is exclusively in medical oncology. I transferred to the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center in 2016 while finishing my nurse practitioner program at Stony Brook University.
It is my privilege to care for the men and women who come to MSK, and it is my good fortune to be a member of the multidisciplinary team here.
