Advocacy and community building are fundamental to the postdoctoral training experience. Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Postdoctoral Association (MSK-PDA) provides opportunities for trainees to promote positive change in their community and to connect with one another through a variety of social events.
The MSK-PDA advocates for internal policies that enhance quality of life for postdocs, including those related to compensation and benefits. In addition, MSK-PDA organizes a wide range of fun activities, including:
- intramural sports, including volleyball, soccer, and bowling
- yoga and meditation
- picnics, ice cream socials, and family-friendly movie nights
- volunteer opportunities at nearly schools and community events
