Elective Programs 2016-2017: Application

Completed applications (including the $100 application fee, health statement, and dean’s letter) must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the start of the elective. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. In addition, submission of a fully completed application does not guarantee a student’s acceptance for an elective. Decisions will be sent via email.

Students from international medical schools may not apply using the online application but must submit a paper application. Visit the information page for Students from International Medical Schools to print an application and find additional instructions.

Terms of Participation

I will be in attendance for the entirety of my elective(s), start and end dates included. If I am unable to do so, I will send a request to MSK’s GME Office as soon as possible. I understand that MSK may not be able to accommodate my request.
I understand that only MSK evaluations will be completed and that the GME office coordinates the completion of elective evaluation forms. I will send all evaluation inquiries to medstudent@mskcc.org.
I will return all equipment (pagers, Free-to-Go cards, and/or identification badges) to the departmental coordinator or GME Office at the end of my elective(s). I understand that I will be charged a replacement/repair fee, if equipment is not returned in its original condition (at time of receipt).
If accepted into MSK’s Medical Elective Program, I understand my status as an MSK elective student will provide me with the same rights, responsibilities, and duties as Weill Cornell Medical College students for the period of my elective(s). I will abide by the policies of the MSK elective program and those within Weill Cornell’s Student Handbook: http://weill.cornell.edu/education/student/pdf/studenthandbook.pdf.
