Medical Library
The Library subscribes to a full range of databases that encompass key science, medical, and healthcare information.
Students have access to over 1,100 journal titles, with over 80 percent of these titles accessible and available electronically. These include current issues as well as complete back-issue files for some key titles. The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Library Center is available for students’ use. First-year students attend a library orientation and register with the library so that they can borrow library materials.

Laptop for Loan at MSKCC
All Memorial Sloan Kettering students and employees, and staff from our neighboring institutions can access and borrow a Macintosh or PC laptop from the Library with valid identification.
Borrowing is limited to registered Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Hospital for Special Surgery, Rockefeller University, and Weill Cornell Medical College Library users with valid identification. Laptops can be checked out for a period of up to two hours at the following locations:

Renewal is at the discretion of library staff, and varies with demand. Laptops may only be used inside the Nathan Cummings Center or CyberLibrary. Taking a laptop outside of these areas is not permitted.
Employee Health & Wellness Services
Employee Health & Wellness Services (EH&WS) provides annual required TB testing for our students and physical examinations for new students. EH&WS also provides annual flu vaccines to students. If you become ill during your training, you should notify the program director or clinical supervisor. Program director will arrange an appointment for the student with the EH&WS and prepare a referral note.

Employee Assistance Program Consortium (EAPC)
The Employee Assistance Program Consortium (EAPC) is a confidential, short-term counseling and referral service that is available free of charge to students of the School of Radiation Therapy. Counselors are available Monday through Friday to Additional hours can be arranged by appointment.
The purpose of this program is to give students the opportunity to help themselves cope with problems that may be adversely affecting them. Employee confidence in the trustworthiness of the EAPC staff plays a key role in the program’s success, and the EAPC will protect your confidentiality.
Services offered include problem identification, short-term therapy, crisis intervention, consultation, and referral for a broad range of problems.
Call the EAPC for confidential assistance if you are experiencing any of the following:
- Emotional or psychological problems, such as depression, anxiety, or feekings of loss
- Relationship, marital or interpersonal problems
- Family problems that may be related to single parenting, care of elderly parents, or domestic violence
- Substance abuse problems related to alcoholism or drug’s. The EAPC offers confidential referrals to treatment programs.
- Legal problems
- Financial problems, such as debt management
- Job or school performance problems
- Health concerns
- Eating disorders or other concerns related to your body image
- Any other concerns for which you might need professional assistance

Academic & Clinical Assistance
Didactic instructors make a concerted effort to provide additional assistance to those students needing reinforcement activity. All didactic instructors provide their contact information so students may request assistance. In addition, the program director and clinical supervisor are available for didactic, clinical assistance, and/or tutoring upon the student’s request.
