MSK Kids inpatient care

If your child has to stay in the hospital overnight, our team is here to help and support your child and family.

If your child has to stay in the hospital, we’re here to do everything we can to make your experience as easy and comfortable as possible. All of our rooms are designed to accommodate a caregiver with the patient, so your child always has a loved one at their side, even overnight. And we know how important it is to be connected to life outside of MSK Kids, so each room also has a flat-screen TV, gaming devices, and WiFi.

If your child needs close observation, we’ll monitor them in the Nicholls-Biondi Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, which is staffed by doctors and nurses who specialize in critical care. A parent or loved one is always welcome at the child’s bedside.

What we offer

Kids can participate in daily recreation at the Laura Rosenberg Family Center, or we’ll bring activities to your child’s bedside. Art and music therapists, drama coaches, child life specialists, teachers, and more are all part of your child’s care team. MSK Kids also has nutritionists, social workers, and more experts who can support you and your family throughout your entire experience. We know how important rest is in the healing process, so we’ll also make sure your child has plenty of time to take it easy.
