Get to Know Me

I am a radiation oncologist specializing in radiation therapy, a type of cancer treatment that uses precisely focused, high-energy beams to kill cancer cells. I am an expert in external beam radiation therapy, a method that uses a treatment machine to aim and deliver beams of radiation to the tumor. These invisible beams — which cannot be felt by the patient — pass through the body, killing cancer cells in the process.

I provide external beam radiation therapy at MSK Commack and MSK Nassau.

A cancer diagnosis is stressful not only for the patient, but also for their family and friends. When I first meet with patients, I clearly and empathetically explain the diagnosis and the available treatment options. Taking the time to make medical recommendations that align with each patient’s care goals is important to me; I want patients to feel heard, seen, and respected.

I was first interested in the medical field for the human experience and believe that aiding a person in a time of need is a privilege. Beyond providing care directly to patients, I also enjoy the research aspect of medicine and am involved in multiple clinical and basic science research efforts.

Outside the office, I am a regular person who enjoys the outdoors and running to stay physically active.

Disclosures

Members of the MSK Community often work with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology, and life sciences companies, and other organizations outside of MSK, to find safe and effective cancer treatments, to improve patient care, and to educate the health care community. These activities outside of MSK further our mission, provide productive collaborations, and promote the practical application of scientific discoveries.

MSK requires doctors, faculty members, and leaders to report (“disclose”) the relationships and financial interests they have with external entities. As a commitment to transparency with our community, we make that information available to the public. Not all disclosed interests and relationships present conflicts of interest. MSK reviews all disclosed interests and relationships to assess whether a conflict of interest exists and whether formal COI management is needed.
