Internal Medicine - Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein School of Medicine
I am a hospitalist who cares for people admitted to Memorial Hospital, in Manhattan. I use evidence-based medicine and compassionate care to treat many general medical problems and complications of cancer and its treatments. I work predominately as a nocturnist, admitting patients and caring for people staying in the hospital for extended periods.
I chose a career in internal medicine because it allows me to care for the complete body. I also have the opportunity to develop close relationships with my patients and their loved ones. Treating oncologic issues, in particular, requires effective communication and a strong patient-physician relationship, which I value.
Doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering work as teams, with specialists from all different areas. This allows us to consider all your needs together, and to give you the best possible care.
Doctors and faculty members often work with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology, and life sciences companies, and other organizations outside of MSK, to find safe and effective cancer treatments, to improve patient care, and to educate the health care community.
MSK requires doctors and faculty members to report (“disclose”) the relationships and financial interests they have with external entities. As a commitment to transparency with our community, we make that information available to the public.
