I am a board-certified medical oncologist and internist focusing on the treatment of genitourinary malignancies, including prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers. I also have a clinical interest in treating gastrointestinal and other solid tumors.
I joined the team at Memorial Sloan Kettering’s regional facility in Rockville Centre, Long Island, in 2007. Here we offer compassionate and cutting-edge treatment for patients who wish to receive Memorial Sloan Kettering care closer to their homes. My goal is to provide the same state-of-the-art care that is offered at our main campus in Manhattan. To that end, I am involved in academic conferences with my colleagues in Manhattan to ensure that I am up to date on the most recent advances in the field.
I work as part of a multidisciplinary team with radiation oncologists, who are also located at our Rockville Centre site. Together we collaborate with surgeons and other specialists at our main campus or within the Long Island community, depending on the individual needs and desires of each patient. I participate in research by enrolling patients in clinical trials at our Rockville Centre site, or by facilitating their entry into additional protocols that are available only at our Manhattan campus.
Along with trying to achieve the best possible outcome for each patient, my practice focuses on maintaining or improving patients’ quality of life at all stages of disease. My colleagues and I, along with nurses, social workers, and nutrition specialists here in Rockville Centre, attend closely to the psychosocial needs of our patients, as well as their family members, while they are undergoing cancer treatment.
