About Me

I am a board-certified radiation oncologist who specializes in the use of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and image guided radiation therapy (IGRT) in the treatment of technically challenging cancers to maximize therapeutic gain while minimizing side effects from treatment. I treat a variety of malignancies, including gynecologic and breast diseases, with a special focus on the combined modality treatment of head and neck cancers, lung cancers, and the design and delivery of stereotactic body radiation therapy.

I work closely with my medical oncology colleagues to combine chemotherapy, targeted agents, and radiation therapy in the treatment of these cancers. I also participate in institutional and national clinical trials to help bring state-of-the-art cancer care to my patients in Westchester. I have been the principal investigator at Memorial Sloan Kettering for several national lung cancer trials.

I earned my MS in bioengineering from the University of Michigan, my MD degree at the University of Pittsburgh, and took part in a transitional year internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. I completed my residency training in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering.

I practiced at MSK – Rockville Center for five years before joining the MSK Commack faculty as Chief of the Radiation Therapy section in 2002. In 2008 I was appointed Director of the Regional Radiation Oncology Clinical Research Program and in October 2014 I moved to the new MSK facility in West Harrison, New York.

Clinical Trials

Research is integral to our mission at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and clinical trials help us discover better forms of patient care and treatment. For you, this could mean access to a new therapy or therapy combination. Click to see a list of the trials I’m currently leading.
