About Me

I am a radiation oncologist who cares for people with lung, head and neck, and gynecologic cancers. I specialize in intensity-modulated radiation therapy and image-guided radiation therapy. I am also an expert in stereotactic body radiation therapy. This treatment allows for shortened treatment times thanks to higher doses of radiation. I see more than 300 patients a year.

I decided to become a doctor after working as a research assistant in a radiology department. I learned during clinical rotations how much I enjoyed connecting with patients. That feeling continues today.

I began my practice at MSK Rockville Centre on Long Island. After five years, I joined the faculty at MSK Commack, also on Long Island, as Chief of Radiation Therapy in 2002. In 2008 I was named Director of the Regional Radiation Oncology Clinical Research Program, and in October 2014 I moved to MSK Westchester in West Harrison, New York. I am proud that we are able to deliver cutting-edge treatment to our patients and our neighbors closer to home. The smaller size of the facility allows for a more personal patient experience.

Having all of my surgical, medical oncology, radiology, and dermatology colleagues in one building makes working together very easy. We pool all of our resources to make the best recommendations for each person we meet.

Our patients at MSK Westchester have access to institutional and national clinical trials offering state-of-the-art cancer care. I have been in charge of several national lung cancer trials here at MSK.

I cherish the relationships I have with my patients and the trust that they place in me. I hope that after patients and their caregivers meet with me, they understand my recommendations and are confident in my care.

Outside of work my greatest passion is my family. I also enjoy traveling, exercising, hiking, spending time with friends, and exploring new restaurants.

Clinical Trials

Research is integral to our mission at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and clinical trials help us discover better forms of patient care and treatment. For you, this could mean access to a new therapy or therapy combination. Click to see a list of the trials I’m currently leading.

Most major health insurers offer plans that include MSK as one of their in-network providers. If MSK is in-network, it means all our doctors are too. Medicare and New York State Medicaid also provide benefits for care at MSK.
