Get to Know Me

I am a medical oncologist with a specific focus on sarcomas of the bone and soft tissue. I became an oncologist to help patients through the challenges of a cancer diagnosis. Because sarcomas are rare, this can often lead to a layer of complexity and confusion on top of receiving a cancer diagnosis.

At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, our team has a wealth of experience treating this group of rare diseases and is studying how to improve outcomes for all people with sarcoma.

Together with oncology nurses and dedicated office staff, I closely collaborate with my surgery, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, and pathology colleagues, among others, to identify the best possible treatment plan tailored for each patient and their unique diagnosis. In addition to focusing on standard of care treatment options, I am interested in finding novel treatments for people with sarcoma.

My research interests include modulating the immune system to help identify and fight tumors and to exploit the molecular characteristics of sarcomas with targeted therapies. I am actively involved in multiple research efforts to better understand the landscape of these diseases, identify promising new treatments, and study biomarkers of response.

What I Do at MSK

I'm a sarcoma medical oncologist, which is a cancer doctor who specializes in sarcoma. This includes soft tissue sarcomas (such as Ewing sarcoma and rhabdomyosarcoma) and benign (not cancer) growths that are like sarcoma.
